Okay...Prayer Warriors!

Run down of the week-
Last Monday my Dad was able to come home from the hospital. What a blessing! He is doing very well. Please continue prayers that everything will continue to go smoothly with his recovery. Tuesday we started back to school! Yeah! By Wed. my parents felt that they should evacuate from the Houston area. Thursday they left for my Grandmother's house. They did arrive safely, but I worried about their travel because of my Dad's health and being able to regulate his meds. Friday Micah came home from work early and was in so much pain. His knee had swelled up and was really red. It was even sensitive to touch. I have to admit..I was not ready to give him sympathy. We called the doctor and they could not see him because he had already gone home, but the nurse called in an antibiotic thinking that he had an infection. I went and got the medicine and in the mean time Micah started running fever and having chills and hot flashes. We iced the knee and tried to keep him comfortable. Also at the same time Micah's parents live about 60 miles from Houston and were staying through the storm. We were staying pretty stressed worried about everyone. By 5 am Saturday moring we realized that we needed to do something. Micah's knee looked worse and now he was throwing up. Yeah! The on call doctor called us back and said meet him at the ER. We did! He had surgery that afternoon. His knee was infected with Staph. Yuck! He will be in the hospital until tomorrow afternoon. They are giving him high doses of an antibiotic in his IV to treat the staph. Mean while.....my sister in law kept Payton for us. Sunday morning when Payton woke me up she was fine. Then I went in her room to get her ready to go see Daddy. And wow! She had thrown up in her bed. She then threw up again in the kitchen. I have kept her on a monitored diet today and thankfully she has been fine. Micah should come home tomorrow! He is doing so much better now that this infection is being taken care of.
